The earrings arrived today! They are so beautiful, even more so in person! I love the setting and the incredible colourful facets. So much more character than a traditional round cut diamond. I can’t wait to wear them, and even more excited to pass them on to my daughter in time. The perfect piece to celebrate her birth and joining our family. Thank you so much for your time and effort in making this piece that I will always treasure.

I was drawn to Minka for the alternative style of engagement ring that could be made from her designs, which put a colourful gem at the centre, and for Lucy’s expertise in finding the best, high-quality gem to be that centre.
Lucy is a pleasure to work with, sourcing a range of gems and patiently working through the options with me. I was deciding remotely and I could trust Lucy to give me the right advice. She also was flexible as I arranged things in secret to maximise the surprise for my now-fiancée and worked fast to deliver the ring in the time I needed it.

I can’t recommend Lucy Crowther from Minka Jewels, highly enough after she redesigned and remade my engagement ring. The diamond, which was originally set vertically in a formal setting with the diamond being the centre stone with the two smaller baguettes either side, did not do the stone justice and I hardly wore it. After discussing various options with Lucy, she came up with the fabulous idea of making the ring more wearable and fun by setting the diamond horizontally with the baguettes either side in a simple yellow gold thick band, making the ring instantly more up to date, wearable and cool! I absolutely love it and wear the ring now the whole time, as so elegantly chic and wearable.

Lucy could not have been more helpful in redesigning the band in yellow gold to compliment the (surround?? don’t know the proper name for it!) and I wear it often as I find its a great every day ring that goes with everything!
LilyWhen my late grandmother died, I inherited a brooch which had some small diamonds on it. Lucy and I spent some time working out how these diamonds could be incorporated into everyday 21st Century pieces and look good worn with jeans as well as more formal wear. The earrings are based on Lucy’s Athena design and are set beautifully with the small diamonds in the middle of their circular swirls, to make them effortlessly chic and wearable for every occasion. With the remaining diamonds, Lucy had a brilliant idea to make a large Mantra necklace incorporating the stones in the centre of the pendent in order that the stones may be worn and seen. In such a timeless, elegant pendent which can be worn with everything, it is hardly off my neck!!

I had an aquamarine ring in a dated setting which Lucy managed cleverly to redesign in a sleeker, sharper, more defined way, to show off the beautiful aquamarine stone complimenting the yellow gold of her ring. I couldn’t be more happier with this ring as the depth of colour of the stone nestled in the warmth of the yellow gold radiates a smile to whoever sees it!!
I was recommended to Lucy Crowther of Minka Jewels in early 2020 by my daughter who had seen her designs on Instagram. I was immediately drawn to her beautiful collection of stones which I could see were of the highest quality, as well as her love of simple, individual, stylish designs which allowed the colour and nature of the stones to sparkle and allow the natural vibreness shine through. I have since asked Lucy to redesign some family jewellery, including my engagement ring with very satisfying results. Lucy makes the process of redesigning the jewellery, both fun, innovative and exciting, coming up with some beautiful designs, hand painted for the client to see the finished result before everything is put in motion. She is patient, calm, and has a fabulous eye for detail and colour, which comes across in the hand sourcing of the sublime coloured gems she chooses to put in all her designs. I can not recommend Minka Jewels highly enough, either if you are purchasing a gift for yourself or another, or if you are looking for the perfect engagement ring or just need to put some vra vra room into some vintage family pieces.

I am absolutely thrilled with my new ring! Working with Lucy was such a pleasure and I knew I was in safe (and creative) hands. I had an unloved bracelet and a basic idea of what I wanted to do with it; Lucy created the most beautiful ring that makes me so happy. I only wish I had done it sooner!
